So i went to practice with the cross country team on Saturday. Ok, they totally kicked my butt! it was so hard. the coach took us to South mountain to run 6 miles or so. I kept up pretty good for the first bit but then it got really tough! we ran for over an hour. Afterwards (i didn't die) the coach told me that he thought i did great and he wanted me on the team. I was wondering if he had forgot that i barely made it...but he says that i could be good. so I accepted and i am very excited. we have a race coming up this weekend and he wants me to race...i have butterflies already! Not to mention my first real week of nursing school...i am excited though, this will be fun. I think dylan said 'book' this morning when i handed him a book! i don't know if he did it on purpose or what...happy labor day everyone! have fun not laboring!

- Gene and I are going on 2 years of marriage and have been so blessed to know eachother. We were worlds apart before we met and then were set up on a blind date- i knew I wanted to be w him forever within 2 weeks we have so much in common and most importantly, we share the same goals. We also knew that those things would never change- we were ready to have a family! And its wonderful to see our plans working out just how we said w our baby on the way:) gene is so excited as am I. I think it's a boy, he thinks it's a girl, but whatever it is it will be perfect! And dylan will be the best big brother!! Also we both work as nurses. We are so blessed to have jobs right now! Dylan didn't really start smiling until he was around 3-4 months. Thats ok though, he was just a serious, thinker baby. I love him just the way he is! 2 months

Yeah south mountain can be a tuff one. I used to run it every saturday my sophmore year when I went to Dobson and every time I would run it. It would kill me. Your one brave soul. Good luck with cross country I am sure you will do great. We miss you guys. We need to hang out or something.
ReplyDeleteI still think you're crazy! When you're running at 5:30 in the morning, I'll be sleeping & GETTING FAT! Who needs to run outside when you can get such a great workout on the Wii Fit. Remember when I kicked your butt on the "Fit?" Yeah, I'm pretty sure I DO!
